چکیده

We state and solve the query reformulation problem for XML publishing in a general setting that allows mixed (XML and relational) storage for the proprietary data and exploits redundancies (materialized views, indexes and caches) to enhance performance. The correspondence between published and proprietary schemas is specified by views in both directions, and the same algorithm performs rewriting-with-views, compositionwith-views, or the combined effect of both, unifying the Global-As-View and Local-As-View approaches to data integration. We prove a completeness theorem which guarantees that under certain conditions, our algorithm will and a minimal reformulation if one exists. Moreover, we identify conditions when this algorithm achieves optimal complexity bounds. We solve the reformulation problem for constraints by exploiting a reduction to the problem of query reformulation. Comments Postprint version. XML queries and constraints, containment and reformulation

Starting from the XQuery language we define XBind, an XML analog of relational conjunctive queries as well as a related class of XML integrity constraints (dependencies). We identify a fragment of XBind for which containment is decidable, in fact p2 -complete, and a further fragment for which containment is NP-complete. We extend the containment algorithm to take XML dependencies into account. W...

Apply Uncertainty in Document-Oriented Database (MongoDB) Using F-XML

As moving to big data world where data is increasing in unstructured way with high velocity, there is a need of data-store to store this bundle amount of data. Traditionally, relational databases are used which are now not compatible to handle this large amount of data, so it is needed to move on to non-relational data-stores. In the current study, we have proposed an extension of the Mongo...

Analysis of users’ query reformulation behavior in Web with regard to Wholis-tic/analytic cognitive styles, Web experience, and search task type

Background and Aim: The basic aim of the present study is to investigate users’ query reformulation behavior with regard to wholistic-analytic cognitive styles, search task type, and experience variables in using the Web. Method: This study is an applied research using survey method. A total of 321 search queries were submitted by 44 users. Data collection tools were Riding’s Cognitive Style A...

Schema mapping and query reformulation in peer-to-peer XML data integration system

In the paper we discuss the problem of XML data integration in a P2P environment. In this setting each peer stores schema of its local data, mappings between the schema and schemas of some other peers (peer’s partners), and schema constraints. The goal of the integration is to answer the queries formulated against arbitrarily chosen peers. The answer consists of data stored in the queried peer ...
